App Permissions Disclosure

Nirbhaya Staff App requests only the permissions necessary to provide authorised school ERP services. Permissions are requested only when required for specific application features and, where applicable, only after user interaction and consent.

1. Location Permission

Permissions Used:
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION
ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION

These permissions are used only for authorised location-based school services, such as GPS attendance verification and other location features provided through the ERP system. Location is accessed only after the user grants permission.

2. Camera Permission

Permission Used:
CAMERA

The camera is used only when initiated by the user for authorised school-related activities, such as capturing photographs or videos required by the ERP system.

3. Internet Access

Permissions Used:
INTERNET
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE

These permissions allow the application to securely communicate with the school's ERP server, detect network connectivity, synchronise authorised school data, and provide uninterrupted access to online services.

4. Push Notifications

Permissions Used:
POST_NOTIFICATIONS
com.google.android.c2dm.permission.RECEIVE

These permissions enable Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver authorised school announcements, attendance updates, ERP notifications, and other official communications to registered staff devices. Notification permission is requested on supported Android versions and may be disabled at any time through your device settings.

5. User Control

Permissions requiring user approval, such as Camera and Location, can be granted, denied, or revoked at any time through your Android device settings. Some features may not function correctly if the required permissions are denied.
